ASOC Annual Meeting

Throughout the year 2018 the ASOC team has met to plan and report results on the progress of the development of the modules and the prototype 1 platform in small working groups.

In December 2018 a meeting of the entire ASOC team took place as a consequence of the end of the year. During the meeting, the state of the platform was evaluated and the tasks carried out in each one of the tasks were reviewed, as well as a general review of the decisive activities that will be carried out in the coming months for the elaboration of prototype 2.

The participants also agreed on the timetable for the future validation of prototype 1, i.e. both the unit tests for each of the individual modules and the joint platform.

All members actively participated in the meeting, providing valuable technical and design ideas that will ensure the creation of a robust and innovative solution.

Launching the ASOC Project

Last September, the ASOC project started in HI-Iberia. ASOC is a project funded by the Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda that aims to optimize home assistance through a support tool for social workers or home visitors in the form of an application for mobile device. The aim of ASOC is to support and complement the complexity, variety and risk of social interventions with which social workers deal in their daily lives through a series of functionalities that cover both their security and support them through alerts, access to all information of those assisted, as well as support information, and so on. It will also provide a web control panel to which the central services will have access in order to be able to track the activities carried out by the workers.

In this meeting, the bases were established for the launching of the project and the elaboration of the Risk Management and Quality Control Plan was planned, which will serve as a guide for the management of the project during the 28 months of execution. In addition, in this meeting the design of the website was initiated, which will be updated throughout the project and possible logos for the project were proposed. After discussing the options, the logo that will identify the ASOC project was chosen.
